I can’t get into my account: login help
Most login problems are solved quickly: resend the confirmation email, reset your password, or keep in mind that you can only be signed in on one device at a time.
Quick check
- Is your email address confirmed? Without confirmation, companycore doesn’t let you in: “Please confirm your email address first.”
- Are you using the right address? You log in with the address you registered with or were invited with. You can’t change the login email in the app.
- Did you sign in somewhere else recently? A login only works on one device at a time. You’re signed out on the older device.
Confirmation email missing or registration doesn’t work
- Check your spam folder. The app says so itself: “We sent you a confirmation email, so please check your spam folder too.”
- Send the email again. Try to log in. The box “Your email address is not confirmed yet.” appears. Click Resend confirmation email. If it works, it says “Confirmation email sent again ✓”. If you get “Could not be sent. Please wait a moment and try again.”, wait a moment.
- Link expired or already used? Then the login page shows: “The link from the email has expired or was already used.” Just log in. If the address is still unconfirmed, companycore sends a new email.
- Registration fails? “Diese Email ist bereits registriert” (German; meaning: “This email is already registered”) means an account for that address already exists. “We can’t accept disposable addresses. Please use your work address.” means: use a real address. Free email addresses such as gmx.de or web.de (German providers) work.
Forgot your password
- Click Forgot password?. You find the link on the login page.
- Enter your email and click Send link. The message always reads “If an account exists, the email is on its way.” That applies to a wrong address as well, for privacy reasons. If no email arrives, check your spam folder and the spelling.
- Open the link in the email. If the page shows “The link is invalid or has expired.”, request a new link.
- Enter a new password. Fill in New password and Confirm password and click Save password.
- Log in. The app says “Password saved. You can sign in now.” and redirects you to the login page after about 2 seconds.
After a reset, all existing sessions end, so you’re signed out everywhere. The new password needs at least 12 characters. Your name, your email and typical words or patterns such as “passwort” (German for password) or “companycore” aren’t allowed. Some messages still say 8 characters, but 12 applies. All the rules are in Account and security.
Messages when logging in
| Message | What you do |
|---|---|
| “Email or password is incorrect.” | Check for typos and the address. With the Show password button, you can see what you typed. If that doesn’t help, reset the password. |
| “Please confirm your email address first.” | Confirm the address through the email or have it resent, see above. |
| “Too many failed attempts. Please try again in {min} minutes.” | Wait the stated time, or reset the password through Forgot password?. |
| “Sign-in is unreachable right now. Please try again in a moment.” / “The API is currently unavailable.” | That’s a problem on our side. Try again in a few minutes. |
| “Bitte lade die Seite neu und melde dich dann an.” (German; meaning: “Please reload the page and then sign in.”) | Reload the page and log in again. |
| “Back in a moment” with the button Try again | That’s the maintenance page: “We’re working on companycore right now. Please try again in a few minutes.” Wait briefly and click Try again. |
| “This account is temporarily suspended.” / “This account has been blocked.” (sometimes with “Reason: …”) | Your login has been paused or blocked by companycore. Write to jan@companycore.ai. |
Why was I suddenly signed out?
One login, one device
A login can only be signed in on one device at a time. If you sign in somewhere else, the old device is signed out, and the new one wins. Several tabs in the same browser are allowed. If you share a login, you kick each other out: every person needs their own login. The owner or an admin creates it under Team, which is available from Pro.
After signing out, the login page shows the reason:
| Notice | Cause and fix |
|---|---|
| “You were signed out because your account was signed in on another device. An account can only be used on one device at a time.” | Someone signed in elsewhere with your login, or you did yourself on another device. Use only one device at a time. Colleagues get their own logins, see Team and brands. |
| “Your password was changed. For your security all sessions were ended — please sign in with your new password.” | Every password change ends all sessions. Sign in with the new password. |
| “Your session was no longer valid. Please sign in again.” | The session expired or was ended. Sign in again. |
| “Signing in took too long. Please sign in again.” | Start signing in from the beginning. With two-factor login, enter the code promptly. |
| “This account no longer belongs to an organisation.” | You were removed from the team. Ask the owner. |
| “Your access is no longer covered by your agency’s plan. Please get in touch with them.” | You have a client login. Your agency has changed its plan. Contact them. |
| “Your customer access belongs to several brands — companycore does not support this yet. Please contact your agency.” | A client login for several brands isn’t possible yet. Contact your agency. |
Two-factor login: code is wrong or phone is gone
If you’ve set up two-factor login, the “Confirmation code” page asks for the six-digit code from your authenticator app.
- “That code isn’t right. Try again.” Enter the current code. It has six digits and keeps changing. Also check that your phone’s clock is set automatically.
- Lost your phone or deleted the app? Click Can't access the app?, enter one of your recovery codes and click Redeem code. After that, two-factor login is off: “You used a recovery code. Two-factor authentication is now off — please sign in and set it up again.”
- Neither phone nor codes? Describe your case by email to jan@companycore.ai.
The setup is described in Account and security.
Invited, but registration doesn’t work
- Use the link from the invitation email. Invited people don’t register through Sign up now. Otherwise it says: “Du wurdest bereits in eine Organisation eingeladen — nutze den Link aus der Einladungs-Mail.” (German; meaning: “You have already been invited to an organization — use the link from the invitation email.”) The link leads to “Welcome to the team”, where you create your login with Create access.
- Link invalid or expired? Then the page says “The link is invalid or has expired.” Ask the owner or an admin to send the invitation again under Settings › Team with Resend.
- “Diese Email hat bereits einen companycore-Zugang.” (German; meaning: “This email already has a companycore login.”) The person who invites sees this message. A login belongs to exactly one organization. The invitation has to go to a different address.
Still stuck?
If you can no longer get into the app, write to jan@companycore.ai. Give the address you sign in with and the message word for word. Never send your password by email.
Frequently asked questions
Can I log in on several devices at the same time?
No. A login only works on one device at a time. Several tabs in the same browser are allowed.
Can I change my login email?
Not in the app. The field under Settings › Account is grayed out. If your address changes, describe your case by email to jan@companycore.ai.
Why do I always get the same message when resetting?
For privacy reasons, companycore doesn’t say whether an account exists for an address. The message “If an account exists, the email is on its way.” always appears. If no email arrives, check your spam folder and the spelling.
What happens to my sessions when I change the password?
All sessions end, on all devices. You sign in afterwards with the new password.
