Create your account and finish onboarding

You sign up with your name, email and password, confirm your address, and answer a few questions about your company at your first login. You can change the onboarding answers later.

Time needed: about 5 minutes. You need: an email address you can access and your company name. Your website address helps with setup but is optional.

How do you sign up?

  1. Open the sign-up page. Go to app.companycore.ai/auth/register. You’ll see Create account and below it “Ready to go in a minute.”
  2. Fill in the fields. First name, Last name, Email, Password and Confirm password. Below the password field, a meter shows its strength: “Still too weak”, “Acceptable”, “Good” or “Very good”.
  3. Click Create account. By doing so, you agree to the terms and conditions and acknowledge the privacy policy. The app answers with “Almost there! Please confirm your email address.”
  4. Click the link in the confirmation email. It takes you back to the login. There you’ll see “Email address confirmed ✓ You can sign in now.”
  5. Log in. Use your email address and password. The onboarding opens at your first login.

Password rules

Your password needs at least 12 and at most 200 characters. Special characters aren’t required. Your name and email address must not appear in it, and the app rejects typical words and patterns such as “password”, “qwerty”, “123456” or “companycore”. The easiest option is a passphrase made of several words. If the app says “Too easy to guess: made of known words. Add another word.”, do exactly that.

The app also checks the format of your email address and rejects disposable addresses: “We can’t accept disposable addresses. Please use your work address.” Free email addresses such as gmx.de or web.de are allowed.

What if the confirmation email doesn’t arrive?

  • Check your spam folder.
  • Try to log in. You’ll see “Your email address is not confirmed yet. We sent you a confirmation email, so please check your spam folder too.” with the button Resend confirmation email.
  • If the app says “Could not be sent. Please wait a moment and try again.”, wait a moment and click again.
  • If the login shows “The link from the email has expired or was already used.”, just log in. If your address is still unconfirmed, companycore sends you a new email.

What does the onboarding ask?

The window appears full-screen right after your first login and can’t be dismissed. You move through it with Next and ← Back, and you skip optional steps with Skip. You don’t need a plan for this yet, and nothing is analyzed or billed.

  1. Enter your company details. Company name is required (2 to 80 characters). You can leave Website (optional) and Industry (optional) empty. About the website, the app says: “Your website will be the most important source for the CI analysis later.” Without an industry, the analysis reads it from your website.
  2. Choose language and form of address. Under Post language you can pick Deutsch or English. Under Form of address you can pick Du (casual & direct) or Sie (formal & professional), the German informal and formal forms of “you”. Both apply to the posts the AI writes, not to the app’s interface.
  3. Choose goals and sound (can be skipped). Under Goals (max. 3), for example “Enquiries & new customers”, “Get better known” or “Attract applicants”. Under Sound (max. 2), for example “Approachable & personal” or “Direct & to the point”. Your own wording goes in the free-text fields. The app advises: “fewer is sharper”.
  4. Enter what you spend today (can be skipped). Under “What does social media cost you today?” you enter what an agency or freelancer, tools and subscriptions, and your own time cost. Nobody but you sees the number. Later, the app uses it to calculate your savings under Settings › Billing.
  5. Check the summary. “Done — your brand is set” shows Company, Website, Posts and Goals. Continue with What happens next.
  6. Open Backstage. The last page, “What happens next”, sums up the process in three sentences: look around in peace, start the trial, build your brand. With Open backstage you save everything and land in Backstage.

Where do you change these details later?

The Company name (billing name) under Settings › Company details is different from the Brand name: It belongs to the organization and appears on the invoice. Posts and the CI analysis use the brand name.

Were you invited to a team?

Then you don’t sign up yourself. Sign up now won’t get you far: the app answers with a message (shown in German) saying you’ve already been invited to an organization and should use the link from the invitation email. Open the link from the invitation email instead. It leads to the “Welcome to the team” page. Enter First name, Last name and a password, click Create access and log in afterwards. The same password rules apply as above.

One login, one organization

If someone already has a companycore login, they can’t be invited to a second organization. The app says (in German) that this email address already has a companycore account. In that case, the owner has to invite a different address.

What else should you know?

  • An account can only be logged in on one device at a time. If you log in elsewhere, the old device is logged out. Several tabs in the same browser are no problem.
  • That’s why every person on the team needs their own login. A shared login doesn’t work.
  • You can’t change the login email address later. Use an address you’ll keep using.
  • Forgot your password? Click Forgot password? on the login page. More in Login problems.

Frequently asked questions

Does signing up cost anything?

No. Signing up doesn’t book a plan. Without a plan you can look at everything, but you can’t create anything. You start the free trial in Step 3.

Do I need a business email address?

No. Free email addresses such as gmx.de or web.de work, and so do addresses with a plus sign. The app only rejects disposable addresses.

What’s the difference between interface language and post language?

The interface language decides which language you see the app in, and sits under Settings › Account in the Language & region section. The post language decides which language the AI writes your posts in. The two settings are independent of each other.

Result

Your account is created, your email address is confirmed and your brand has a name. You’re the owner of your organization. You haven’t booked a plan yet: viewing already works, creating doesn’t. Next, you start the trial.
