Connect a Facebook Page to companycore
companycore posts to Facebook Pages, not to personal profiles or groups. You connect your Facebook account and then choose the Page where your posts appear.
Which Facebook accounts can companycore post to?
Only to Facebook Pages, that is, your business’s company page. A personal profile can’t be connected. Example: you run a hair salon. Posts go to your salon’s Page, not to the profile you use to log in to Facebook.
Groups don’t work either. Since April 2024, tools from other providers can no longer post to groups (according to Agorapulse Support, third-party source, retrieved October 13, 2026).
Don’t have a Page yet? Create it on Facebook first and connect it afterwards. The Facebook account you sign in with has to manage the Page and be allowed to create posts for it (Meta for Developers, Pages API, retrieved October 13, 2026). If you lack that, ask the Page’s admin to give you the rights.
How to connect Facebook
You need the permission to connect accounts and an active plan. Who may do that is explained in Connect your first social media channel.
- Open Backstage. In the sidebar, click Backstage and then Connections.
- Click Connect Facebook. The whole page switches to the Facebook login, and no popup opens. Finish the process in the same browser.
- Sign in with the right account. Use the account that manages the Page.
- Select Pages and confirm permissions. In the Facebook dialog, select the Pages that companycore may use. A Page you don’t select here won’t show up later.
- Choose the target profile. Back in Backstage, the card shows Connected. Now choose the Page under Target profile. companycore confirms with “Saved”.
Check the target profile
When you connect for the first time, companycore sets the first Page it finds as the target. If you manage several Pages, that isn’t always the right one. Without a target, the card shows No target selected, and posts fail.
The target applies to the whole brand. There is no per-post choice. If you want to post to several Pages, you create several brands, more in Team, roles and brands.

Videos run on Facebook as Reels. Since June 17, 2025, new videos are shared as Reels, according to Meta (Meta Newsroom). In companycore, choose Reel for a video, because a Feed post only takes images. The 90-second limit comes from Meta’s API. In the Facebook app itself, Reels have had no length limit since June 2025.
- Public: Posts on Facebook Pages are always public (Meta for Developers, Reels Publishing). There is no visibility choice.
- Mentions: They stay plain text and aren’t linked.
- Not possible: tagging people and collabs. There are no additional options for Facebook in the editor.

How long does the connection last?
Facebook access is valid for about 60 days. companycore renews it automatically where possible. If that doesn’t work, the card says: “Expires on …. We renew Facebook access automatically where possible — to be safe, reconnect before then.”
Before an expiry that can’t be extended automatically, companycore warns you 7, 3 and 1 day beforehand. If Meta asks for a confirmation, you sign in to Facebook once and confirm the notice. The connection stays in place meanwhile. More in Connection expired or disconnected.

Frequently asked questions
Can I post to my personal profile or to a group?
No. companycore publishes only to Facebook Pages. According to a third-party source, tools from other providers haven’t had access to groups since April 2024.
Can I choose a different Page for each post?
No. There is one target per brand. For more Pages, you create more brands.
Why doesn’t my Facebook feed post accept a video?
On Facebook, the Feed post only takes images. You post videos as a Reel.
Do I have to connect Instagram and Facebook together?
No. Each platform has its own card and its own login. Instagram runs through the Instagram login, and you don’t need a Facebook Page for it. More in Connect Instagram.
