Cancel, end your trial and back up your data
You cancel Starter, Pro and Max under Settings › Billing, effective at the end of the paid period. If you end the trial, you pay nothing. Back up your content first: there is no full export.
How do I cancel or end the trial?
Both work the same way; only the button is named differently. It only works with the owner login: only the owner sees the Billing tab.
- Open Billing. Go to Settings › Billing. During the trial, clicking the “Trial · 2 days left” row at the bottom of the sidebar also takes you there.
- Click on the plan card. During the trial the button is End trial, afterwards Cancel plan.
- Confirm in the dialog. The Cancel plan dialog says: “Your plan stays fully usable until …, then ends. You can undo the cancellation any time before that.” You confirm with Cancel at period end; Cancel aborts.
- Check the message. The app reports “Cancelled — your plan continues until the end of the period.” The card now shows the Ending badge and the end date.
Until then, you keep using companycore as before. After canceling during the trial, the card says “nothing will be charged afterwards”.
Ultra and other individually agreed plans are canceled in text form, for example by email to jan@companycore.ai. According to the Terms, a notice period of 14 days to the end of the billing period applies, unless agreed otherwise.
Doing nothing means the plan continues
The trial lasts 3 days. If you end it before it runs out, you pay nothing. If you do nothing, the plan continues automatically on day 3, and the first payment is charged. The app says: “We won’t ask.” More about the trial in Start your trial.
Can I undo the cancellation?
Yes, as long as your plan is still running. The card shows the Ending badge, the end date and the Undo cancellation button. Afterwards the app reports: “Welcome back! Your plan continues as normal.”
What happens after your plan ends?
The No active plan card appears on the Billing page. Without an active plan you can look at everything in the app. Anything that costs money or publishes is locked:
- Locked: creating texts and images, starting the brand analysis, creating models.
- Locked: saving or scheduling posts in the calendar.
- Allowed: viewing everything and disconnecting your social accounts.
Posts that fall due without an active plan do not go out. You get the message “‘Title’ is being held back – no active plan”. Once you have reactivated the plan, schedule these posts again.
Scheduled posts at the end of the contract
Posts whose date falls after your plan ends are not published. If they should still go out, move them to a date before the end date or undo the cancellation.
There’s no second trial: the 3 days exist only once per organization. If you come back later, you pay from day one. Also, don’t rely on your data staying around indefinitely. The deadlines from the Terms follow below.
How do I back up my content before canceling?
There’s no full export, whether as ZIP, CSV or calendar file. You back up your content piece by piece. This list helps:
- Images and carousels. Open Files (on Home the area is called “Photo Library”), select the files and click Download. Several files arrive one after another as individual files, not as a ZIP. You can download a whole carousel as well.
- Texts. Copy them with Copy or Copy text and save them in a document of your own.
- Invoices. Download them as a PDF under Settings › Billing.
- Published posts. They stay on the platforms. The Calendar shows the link to the post.
- Brand details. Colors, fonts, tone and goals are in Backstage › CI Overview and Backstage › Text Settings. They can’t be exported. Write down what you’ll need later.

How do I delete my account and my data?
There is no “Delete account” button in the app. Send your deletion request by email to jan@companycore.ai. You can delete individual content yourself at any time: media, drafts, posts, models and brands. The last brand of an account stays in place, though (“The last brand cannot be deleted.”).
Deletion deadlines under the Terms
According to the Terms (as of October 2026), access is blocked after the contract ends. Content and personal data are deleted no later than 90 days after the contract ends, unless statutory retention obligations apply. On request, deletion happens sooner. How do I disconnect my social media accounts?
Open Backstage › Connections and click Disconnect next to the account. This works without an active plan too. Scheduled posts for this target are not published afterwards. Posts that were already published stay on the platform. More on connections in Connection expired or disconnected.
Smaller instead of gone?
If your plan is too big for you, switch to a smaller one instead of canceling. You do that under Settings › Billing. Note: if the smaller plan allows fewer brands or members, companycore deletes the surplus permanently. The warning and all details are in Plans, pricing and invoices.
Frequently asked questions about canceling
Do I pay anything if I cancel during the trial?
No. If you end the trial before the 3 days are up, you pay nothing. You can keep using companycore until the trial ends.
When does my plan end after I cancel?
For Starter, Pro or Max, at the end of the paid period. The exact date is in the cancellation dialog and afterwards on the plan card next to the Ending badge.
Can I start the trial again after canceling?
No. The trial exists only once per organization. If you come back later, you pay from day one.
Can I export my data?
Not as a complete package. You back up images, carousels, texts and invoices individually; the checklist is above.
Who can cancel?
Only the owner. Admins, editors, viewers and clients don’t see the Billing tab.
